BTS sets new Oricon record! New song “Butter” with 31.13 million streams

BTS new single “Butter” has been a big breakthrough in Japan.

On June 2, BTS’s new digital single “Butter,” which was released on May 21, ranked first on the Oricon chart’s recent “Weekly Streaming Ranking”

This is the highest number of views in Oricon’s history and almost twice as many as the previous record.

BTS ranked first in the “Weekly Streaming Ranking” dated May 31, with 31.13 million views. This is the highest number of weekly views. The digital single “Dynamite” (September 7, 2020) and the Japanese original song “Film out” (April 19, 2021), which was released in April this year, also ranked first in the “Weekly Streaming Ranking”. BTS became the only singer to have more than 3 songs streamed more than 10 million times per week and left a new history on the Oricon chart.

With their new song “Butter,” BTS tasted the glory of becoming the fourth group to reach No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard HOT 100 main singles chart (dated June 5).
