The music video for BTS’s new song “Butter” has made history by surpassing 100 million views in 21 hours since its release.
The music video for BTS’s new digital single “Butter,” which was released simultaneously around the world at 1 p.m. on March 21 (Korean time), reached over 100 million views at around 9:56 a.m. today (March 22). This is the 33rd time BTS has had a music video with 100 million views, breaking the record for the most by a Korean singer.
On the 22nd, through the official YouTube blog, BTS said, “The music video for ‘Butter’ has achieved the record for the most number of YouTube premieres ever with over 3.9 million concurrent views when it was first released.
The music video for “Butter” received a tremendous response, reaching 10 million views within 13 minutes of its release, 30 million views in two hours, and 50 million views in six hours. The song went on to beat the record set by “Dynamite,” which was released in August of last year (110.1 million views in 24 hours after its release) and reached 100 million views in about 21 hours.
Butter” is a fun summer song with the unique charm of BTS, and it is a dance-pop based song with a bright and light atmosphere. Immediately after the song’s release, it became the world’s top real-time trending song on Twitter and the most popular song on YouTube, signaling the birth of another “mega-hit song.
