(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi continues her global popularity by releasing a music video trailer for her double title song “Bonnie & Clyde.”
On May 19 at midnight, her agency, CUBE Entertainment, released the music video trailer for her double titled song “Bonnie & Clyde” on their official YouTube channel and SNS.
In the trailer, Yuqi, wearing a black suit, stands in a mirror and stares at herself. The images of a timer, a chess board, and a kettle quickly intersect to create a confusing atmosphere and increase the sense of immersion.
She then gestures as if she is shooting at her reflection in the mirror, and the image of a blonde woman fades into view as she ends the video. The direction of the music video, reminiscent of a movie, raised expectations for the story of the film to follow.
Bonnie & Clyde” is the double title track of Yuqi’s first digital singles album “A Page”, a dance-pop genre influenced by 90’s trance house, with bold and impressive lyrics.
Yuqi released her first solo digital single album “A Page” on the 13th. The album contains two songs, “Giant” and “Bonnie & Clyde”. She composed and wrote the lyrics herself, and included an autobiographical story, showing off her growing musical skills.
The music video for Uki’s “Bonnie & Clyde” will be released at midnight on the 21st.
