A new audition program that will stimulate viewers’ fandom has been unveiled.
On the afternoon of the 3rd, the production announcement of SBS “LOUD” was held online, and Park Jin-young (J.Y. Park), PSY, chief producer Park Sung Hoon, and producer Lee Hwan-Jin participated.
It is a boy group project produced by SBS, JYP Entertainment, and P NATION. It is a system where the members of two teams, one from JYP Entertainment and one from P NATION, are selected through the program.
Chief producer Park Sung Hoon said, “After more than a year of preparation, the show will finally be released. We are trying to create a program that brings out the inner charm and value of the people in a new way. It’s not going to be an easy task, but I’m excited about it. The viewers will be surprised,” he said.

After the first recording of “LOUD,” Park Jin-young said, “After the recording, I told the chief producer Park Sung Hoon, ‘I won’t fail! “I was worried that it would fail because if the participants were not special, it would not attract attention. The judges can’t add anything interesting.”
PSY said, “I’m very nervous. For the past 20 years, I’ve been the one releasing new songs. But this time, I’m evaluating someone else. It was the first recording where I felt burdened by that part,” he said.
PSY and Park Jin-young, who are close on a personal level but are working together for the first time, laughed when he said, “This is the first time we are appearing together on a TV show.”

As “LOUD” is an audition show, the criteria used to select the best idols became a hot topic.
Park Jin-young said, “JYP is an agency that focuses on idols. To be honest, when we select idols and when we select artistic artists, we look at different things. Since they make up a group, the skills they can display within that group are important.
PSY said, “I’ve jokingly told you this. For the inside, we were going to choose participants like me and Jin Young when we debuted, and for the visuals, we were going to choose people who were the furthest from us,” he said, drawing laughter.
In particular, PSY described himself as a “typical beginner,” which made the audience laugh. He said, “I asked Jin-young many times, but I was worried that my personal choice would affect other people’s lives, so I was very burdened. I finished my first recording in such a state,” he said.
He added, “If I join JYP, I don’t know when I will be able to debut. But if they join our agency, they are the only ones who can make their debut. They can debut right away,” he said, emphasizing the merits of the agency.

Park Jin-young has appeared on SBS’s “K-Pop Star” as a judge in the past. As for the difference between “K-Pop Star” and “LOUD,” he said, “First of all, ‘K-Pop Star’ was a show where the people chose the singers. LOUD, however, is a show about the idol world and the idols within it. On “LOUD,” even if you don’t have the ability to perform or sing, if you are good at rapping, you can join the group. It will be a chance for ordinary people to look into the world of idols,” he said.
Producer Lee Hwan-jin, who was introducing the show that day, chose “surprise” as the focus of the show. He said, “I think you’ll be able to see the different charms of the participants and the two professional producers.
PSY said, “This is my first regular variety show, and I haven’t had one in 20 years. It’s a show that the whole family can watch together,” he said.
LOUD” premiered in Korea on June 5th and will air every Saturday at 9pm.
