Web musical “A KILLER PARTY” will be distributed online on the video service “PIA LIVE STREAM” as the first of 2021 “Korean Pia Presents K Musical Cinema” for 4 days from February 20th to February 23rd.
“A KILLER PARTY” is a web musical created for online distribution by actors and actresses who lost their stage due to Broadway lock down because to the Corona disaster in the United States in August 2020, including the production team.
The Korean version to be distributed this time is produced by EMK Musical Company. A comical depiction of a mysterious incident that occurred in a mansion, with 10 characters appearing and consisting of nine episodes to resolve the incident.
The cast practiced non-face-to-face and participated in recording and shooting. The filming is sometimes done at the cast’s home, which is completely different from the musicals performed on the stage, and it can be said that it is a work that was born just because it has taken advantage of social distancing.
The main characters will be Yang Joon Mo, who played the role of Jean Valjean on the stage of the 30th anniversary of the 2017 “Les Miserables” in Japan, and the masterpiece “Golden Star (Golden Stars)” of “Mozart!” Shin Young-sook, Kim So-hyang, whom have histories of activities on Broadway, and singer-songwriter ALi have appeared.
The music is arranged by “Mata Hari” and “Laughing Man” and is produced by Grammy Award-winning Jason Holland for the original soundtrack of “Beautiful”.
“Hanryu Pia Presents K Musical Cinema” and tickets will be on sale from Saturday, January 30th.
