Queendom 2″ is a “comeback survival show” in which six top girl groups compete to release their singles at the same time. The first season, which aired in Korea in 2019, attracted a lot of attention with its spectacular performances by K-pop girl groups and became a popular program. The show’s popularity also led to the birth of male idol versions of Mnet’s “Road to Kingdom” and “KINGDOM: LEGENDARY WAR”.
Queendom 2,” will return for season 2 and is expected to appeal to K-pop fans around the world. This is one of the most prominent features of the show compared to the previous season, and the show is aiming for the music charts not only in Korea but also in the world by enhancing digital content that can secure overseas fans for the girl groups performing in the show. Prior to this, the boy groups that appeared on Mnet’s “KINGDOM: LEGENDARY WAR” performed on the show, and their performances attracted a lot of attention from overseas K-pop fans through YouTube and other global platforms, resulting in a surge in album sales. Since the so-called “KINGDOM effect” was shown, “Queendom 2” also took this aspect into consideration from the planning stage of the show.
The show will be aired in March and is already attracting attention from around the world.
