Singer Lim Young-woong to serve as FC Seoul cheerleader

Back stories have emerged about singer Lim Young-woong’s appearance as a cheering player for professional soccer club FC Seoul.

The scene was featured on the YouTube channel “Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho.”

On the 7th, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, a former entertainment reporter, revealed the behind-the-scenes story of FC Seoul’s cheering event in a video titled “Lim Young-woong shows his true character through consideration. Why the behind-the-scenes story of the cheering event?”

In the video, Lee said, “Singer Lim Young-woong is attracting attention by participating in the K-League cheering event. However, due to the fact that this event was covered up, various stories have arisen,” and he expressed his interest in covering the event after learning it had taken place.

During the Q&A session, he said of Huang Hee-jo and Ki Sung-yueng, “I know this event was made possible because of them.” He added, “Lim Young-woong is actually friends with Huang Hee-jo and Ki Sung-yueng, but both are in the middle of the season. In the process of preparing for the season, the players need to focus only on the game. They didn’t use their personal connections in case they interfered with the season.”

Lee explained that Lim Young-woong “worried a lot about how he could help the players while cheering. Eventually, he requested help from a friend who is a former FC Seoul player and is also in the same football club as Lim,” and that “through this friend, FC Seoul was able to connect with Lim and his agency, and they went through the process step by step to make this cheering event happen.”

Meanwhile, Lim Young-woong will participate as a cheering player in the FC Seoul vs. Daegu FC match on the 8th at Seoul World Cup Stadium. After cheering, he plans to watch the game from the audience and sing.
