Actor Yoon Moon-sik has confessed that he was once diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, surprising everyone.
On the 8th, Yoon Moon-sik appeared as a guest on the web variety show “Simya Sikdang” on the YouTube channel “Poohahaha TV.”
That day, he revealed a story of when he received a lung cancer diagnosis in the past and gave up on surgery.

Yoon Moon-sik said, “I coughed severely when I went to Mokpo for filming. My wife used to be a nurse. So, she said, ‘Let’s take a picture once’ and took me to a hospital in Mokpo.”
He continued, “The doctor recommended that I go to a large hospital and get a precise examination. When I went to the large hospital, they told me I had stage 3 lung cancer. I had received regular check-ups for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for seven years. However, after only three months, they diagnosed me with stage 3 lung cancer, so I felt upset.”

He also said, “The doctor said, ‘There was a small crab, but I wanted to keep an eye on it.’ When I asked how long I could live, he said, ‘I can live for seven months.'”
Yoon Moon-sik said, “My wife asked me to go to another hospital. So, I went again and received a diagnosis of stage 1 lung cancer. So, I had surgery and now I am alive. I was declared cured in November last year.”

He explained, “I asked the doctor, ‘Why did you diagnose me with stage 3 lung cancer?’ The doctor said, ‘I also didn’t know I was suffering from lung disease and got better unknowingly.’ He also said, ‘The doctor seems to have been mistaken by seeing that trace.’ If I had made a mistake, I would have given up surgery and almost died.”

Meanwhile, Yoon Moon-sik divorced his wife of 15 years, who had been suffering from diabetes, in 2008. After that, he married a wife 18 years younger than him in 2011.
